lyrics
Wearing gloves inside
Two working hobs and flat tyres
The trains won’t wait,
cold coffee and bus lanes
Take a breath, count to 3
Fill your lungs and staining your teeth
it always looked cooler in the films
Your last of the night as the flame dips and dims
When the dust settles, like the rain,
Will you be happy with how you spent your days?
Slamming doors, shake picture frames
Deep cuts of the life your parents made
The bigger the house the smaller you feel
Fading dreams take regret at the wheel
Age, takes it toll
Cracks your life just can’t hold
When did you agree to the game
Life finds a way but your worries never change
We’re all just moving one day at time
We’re all just finding our ways to get by

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
The Canadian pop-punk band deliver their biggest-sounding album to date, rooted in full-bodied production and cheery nihilism. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 5, 2022
Taking cues from Midwestern emo and early ’10 pop punk, this Leeds, UK outfit are full of heart— not to mention hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 21, 2022
