Can feel my brain finding something, to stop me falling asleep
Harsh moment, hard memories, you’re pulling faces, I’m pulling teeth
Text apologies at 4am
You’ll never get anything right
Got to push yourself cos you got to pay your rent
Got to make the most of it or you’ll wonder where it went
Were you listening when they said their name?
You’ll never get anything right
Good friends tell you that things never change
Are we draining buckets in the rain?
Front to back, the music is catchy, powerful, rocking, and raw, and go hand-in-hand with Iona's lyrics which could only be described with the same words. Brilliant! tommytulip
Took a few listens to catch me but when it did, whew. Takes me back to the days of 90s emo but with lyricism that goes so far beyond. The breadth of musical styles on display, the breadth of subjects covered, adds up to a towering, humanistic work. Few bands can be so hook-averse yet so packed with creativity, and there's at least one vocal moment on every single track that blows me away. I can't imagine this not winding up being the best punk album of '21. PaintedDogs
at this age reminded me of the naive optimism of high school. dent is more like the college student who tries to remain optimistic in the face of a world that contradicts itself at every turn. fartintheelevator
